Diane Carmel Leger is an award-winning bilingual author, who grew up in Memramcook, New Brunswick. She has written a dozen books besides her translations, such as the best-selling Acadian novel <i>La butte a Petard</i>, winner of the Hackmatack Award and the Vancouver Island picture book, <i>Maxine's Tree</i>, a Canadian bestseller.
