Building a Wishlist
We’ve got an exciting March Break Giveaway for teachers! Browse our collection of 1500+ quality Atlantic Canadian K-12 English and French local books and build a wish list for your classroom and share it on social media with the hashtag #ReadAtlanticABC or #LireAtlantiqueABC for a chance to win books from your list! (Up to $250 value.) The contest is open to all Atlantic Canadian teachers. Closes March 31, 2024.
You can search the collection with filters such as age and grade range, curriculum subjects, language, and equity, diversity, and inclusion, or search by provincially-approved learning resources. Add books to your wish list by clicking on the book page for more details.
You don’t have to create an account to make or share a wishlist, or to print or email it. But if you’d like to view, add to, and edit your wish list of favourite books for the classroom anytime, you can create an account so you can save and update anytime.
Sharing a Wishlist
Once you’ve built a wish list, share it on social media with the hashtag #ReadAtlanticABC or #LireAtlantiqueABC for a chance to win (up to $250 value). Contest closes March 31, 2024.
View your wishlist anytime with the heart icon at the top of the page!
Special wishlist feature for Nova Scotian teachers
The contest is open to all Atlantic Canadian teachers! But we wanted to highlight one feature on the wishlist that will be of particular interest to Nova Scotian teachers. On the wishlist page, you’ll see a column called “NSSBB ID #” – if any of the books on your list have been listed as approved learning resources with the Nova Scotia School Book Bureau (NSSBB), you can use this handy list to make finding and ordering these books through the Book Bureau a piece of cake!
If you’re a teacher in another province, this column will still display – although you can’t purchase through the NSSBB yourself, you may still be interested to click on the hyperlinked ID numbers to find out more about the courses and levels the book has been approved for.
