Paul Pike is a Mi’kmaq musician from Western Newfoundland. Paul enjoys sharing the stories of his Mi’kmaw culture and homeland Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland).

Megan Bateman is a multidisciplinary artist of mixed Mi’kmaw and settler ancestry residing in Ktaqmkuk. She grew up in Sinalk (Port aux Basques) and lives in Katalisk (Codroy Valley), with deep present and ancestral roots in Nqanaqanik (Grey River) and other now-resettled south coast communities. Megan comes from a long line of incredible craftspeople and creatives. She attributes her own creative energy to a blood call from ancestors, as well as teachings from living family members. Her primary areas of work include beadwork, hand-sewing with fur and hide, photography, and written word. Her work is largely shaped by intergenerational kinship, the meaning of space, place, and home, sustainability, and joy as an act of resistance.
