Poets Shannon Webb-Campbell and Douglas Walbourne-Gough join us from the Maritimes to read from their work on zoom that will take place Tuesday, March 15th at 7 pm, on Zoom, with host Shelley Pomerance.

Presented by the Centre des arts de Stanstead, the Poetry Reading Series on Zoom is programmed by Gabriel Safdie and Diane Régimbald. Please note that the series now takes place on the third Tuesday of each month, at 7 pm.

Shannon Webb-Campbell is a member of Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation. Her books include Still No Word (Breakwater, 2015), I Am a Body of Land (Book*hug, 2019), and Lunar Tides (Book*hug, 2022). Shannon is a doctoral student at the University of New Brunswick in the Department of English, and the editor of Visual Arts News Magazine. She lives and works in Kjipuktuk / Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Douglas Walbourne-Gough is a member of the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation, from Corner Brook, Newfoundland. His poetry and reviews have appeared in journals and magazines across Canada and he has worked in editorial capacities with both The Fiddlehead and Riddle Fence. His first collection, Crow Gulch (Goose Lane Editions, 2019), was named winner of the 2021 E. J. Pratt Poetry Award and was shortlisted for the 2020 Raymond Souster Award, the 2019 Derek Walcott Prize for Poetry, and the 2021 NL Reads award. It was also nominated for the 2020/21 First Nation Communities READ Award. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing (UBC Okanagan) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Writing (UNB Fredericton).
