Triny Finlay is a queer poet, writer, teacher, and mother.

Her latest book, ???????????????????????? ???? ???????????????????????????????????? (Goose Lane, 2021), explores her experiences with mental illnesses, their treatments, and stigma. She is also the author of the critically-acclaimed books ???????????????????????????????????? ???????????? (Nightwood, 2004) and ???????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? (Nightwood, 2010), along with the chapbooks ???????????? ????????????’???? ???????????????? ???????????????? ????’???????? ???????????? (Junction, 2018) and ???????????????????????? (Gaspereau, 2006). Her writing has also appeared in anthologies and journals such as ???????????????????????????????????? ???????????????? 2: ????????????????????????’???? ???????????? ????????????????????, ???????????? ????????????????????????????????????????, ????????????????????, ???????????? ???????????????????????? ????????????????????????, ???????????? ???????????????????????????? ????????????????????????, ???????????????????? ???????????????? ????????????????????????: ???? ???????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????, and ????????????????????????????????????. Triny Finlay’s creative work intersects with her research and teaching interests, which include creative writing, contemporary Canadian literatures, poetics, the long poem, genre theory, and gender and sexuality in literature.

She lives in Fredericton, NB, where she teaches English and Creative Writing at the University of New Brunswick.
