Malgré sa carrure précoce d’haltérophile, Matis est né hémophile. Imaginez : avoir la vigueur de ses 16 ans mais habiter un corps qui ne peut pas encaisser de coup… Le moindre choc peut lui causer une grave hémorragie. Mais la véritable blessure inguérissable est familiale. Après un terrible accident, deux ans plus tôt, la mère de Matis est décédée. Son père a perdu le goût de sourire sans son Iris, la prunelle de ses yeux. De telles cicatrices sont lentes à s’effacer… Mais Matis démontrera qu’il a du courage pour deux, en entraînant son père à Terre-Neuve, la province natale d’Iris. Ensemble, ils y découvriront les pierres sur lesquelles bâtir une nouvelle vie.

Such wounds are slow to fade away… But Matis will prove that he’s got courage for the two of them and takes his father to Newfoundland, Iris’ native province. Together they’ll uncover the rocks on which they can build a new life.
