“Swallow finds a nest” bilingual storytime / “Où naîtront les hirondeaux” heure du conte bilingue

The warm, spring weather is returning, and so is Swallow, back to her home where she builds her nest each summer. But oh no! The barn where she always builds her nest is gone, replaced by a large field of corn…

Follow swallow as she journeys across the land in search of a new place to nest, meeting friendly animals along the way and discovering the environmental impacts of climate change.

In celebration of World Environment Day, The Fredericton Public Library will be hosting a family-friendly book reading of Swallow Finds a Nest, followed by a watercolour activity hosted by The Gaia Project.

Marie Cadieux, Executive and Literary Director at Bouton d’or Acadie, and Fredericton-based children’s author, Jennifer Houle will be reading the book in both French and English.

Registration is not required for this event.

Suivez l’hirondelle dans son périple à la recherche d’un nouvel endroit où nicher. Elle rencontrera des animaux sympathiques et découvrira les conséquences des changements climatiques sur l’environnement.

En l’honneur de la Journée mondiale de l’environnement, la bibliothèque publique de Fredericton organise une activité familiale de lecture du livre Où naîtront les hirondeaux?, suivie d’une activité d’aquarelle animée par le Projet Gaia.

Marie Cadieux, directrice littéraire et générale de Bouton d’or Acadie, et l’auteure de livres pour enfants Jennifer Houle, de Fredericton, liront le livre en français et en anglais.

Aucune inscription n’est requise.
