“The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it, no paper notices on downtown posts and billboards, no mentions or advertisements in local newspapers. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not…Black and white stripes on grey sky; countless tents of varying shapes and sizes with an elaborate wrought iron fence encasing them … But it is not open for business. Not just yet.”

After two year’s of virtual events, Laubach Literacy NB is excited to welcome you to The Big Top Gala at NBCC Moncton for a gala event inspired by Erin Morgenstern’s best-selling novel “The Night Circus”. ​

Welcoming you to The Big Top is our own troupe of Night Circus performers – jugglers, acrobats and aerialists. Be marvelled by their creativity and athleticism. Then be ready to have your perception of reality challenged with mind-bending illusions – where borrowed objects vanish and reappear, float through the air, thanks to renowned Magician and Illusionist, Remi Boudreau.

“Was it all real?” you may ask yourself at the end of the night. Be sure to get a souvenir of yourself and your friends by stepping into the PhotoBooth. Each photo can be texted to as many phone numbers as you like. You won’t be able to resist becoming a part of the NIGHT CIRCUS with variety of signature props and costumes. ​(Black, White and/or Red dress encouraged but not required.)

Your taste buds will be similarly delighted with signature cocktails, circus favourites (popcorn/cotton candy) and a sumptuous sit-down meal prepared by the brilliant young chefs at NBCC Moncton.

TICKETS:

Single Stringer — $85 for one ticket
Duo Stringer — $150 for two tickets
Half Stringer — $275 for four tickets
Full Stringer — $500 for eight tickets

A tax receipt for $40/ticket will be issued per ticket. All funds raised go to support the adult literacy programs and services of Laubach Literacy NB and its affiliated councils throughout the province.
