Maud Lewis
Maud Lewis (1903-1970) is one of Canada's most celebrated folk artists. She filled her tiny house in Nova Scotia with colourful paintings inspired by nature. People loved her work and would visit her house from all over to purchase it. Even though Maud lived a difficult life, she found joy in the world around her, and shared that joy thought her creativity.
