QWF Awards shortlist highlights two NS publishers
The Quebec Writer’s Federation announced its annual awards shortlist yesterday, including a pair of authors published by Nova Scotian publishers. Anna Leventhal’s darkly humorous short fiction collection Sweet Affliction, published by Halifax-based Invisible Publishing, made the list
for the Concordia University First Book Prize. Kentville-based Gaspereau Press received yet another tip of the hit with the shortlisting of Gillian Sze’s poetic travelogue Peeling Rambutan. The 16th annual Quebec Writers’ Federation Awards take place in Montreal on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
