Making Zines with Annick and Alison

November 19, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm America/Halifax

Zines are a form of low-cost publishing open to anyone with pen and paper and/or a photo-copier. They are little books that can be filled with any style of writing or art—poetry, lists, comics, interviews, how-tos, doodles, paintings, collage… the possibilities are endless!

In this workshop you will learn several techniques for folding paper into zines and zero in on poetry and collage as two ways of filling your pages.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

When: November 19th, 2-4:30
Where: The Union Square Hall (4505 Cornwall Rd. in Union Square)
Cost: $50 (talk to us about pay-what-you-can options)
Ages: 12+
What to bring: We will provide all materials but feel free to bring craft supplies such as favourite scissors or pens.
How to register: Email Alison at alison@aesmithwriter.com
