Kate Beaton’s DUCKS: Live Musical Performance

Kate Beaton (accompanied by Peter MacInnis) shares singing, slideshow & conversation about her wildly acclaimed new graphic memoir, DUCKS.

The festival is thrilled to co-present a literary evening like no other! Featuring Cape Breton’s own Kate Beaton on stage in Brook Village to share her runaway bestselling graphic memoir of her time working in the oil sands, accompanied by Peter MacInnis, this event includes music, a slideshow and a conversation between Kate Beaton and Schön Faria… folllowed by an opportunity to have your book signed by the author herself.
Brook Village Grocery will be selling Kate’s book on site for her to sign, so this is a wonderful chance to stock up on the perfect holiday gift–while supporting a world-renowned Cape Breton artist.
The event is FREE and open to all! We’re offering advance registration for a limited number of seats, but pre-registration is not required and we’ll also be holding back a good number of seats to release at the door that evening.
