BRUNCHY SUNDAY READINGS featuring Fawn Parker, Nicholas Herring and music by Inn Echo!

Join us for a literary event like no other, the Brunchy Sunday Readings! Featuring winner of the 2022 Atwood Gibson Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, Nicholas Herring, and winner of the 2017 Charles Taylor Prize for Literary Non-Fiction, Fawn Parker, Wild Threads would like to invite you to an event favourite. After a fulfilling literary festival weekend we invite you to sit back, enjoy some brunch. Between readers, take in some espresso and the captivating sounds of one of PEI’s finest instrumentalist bands, Inn Echo. From multiple Music PEI awards to tours of Austria and Ireland, Inn Echo is bar none the traditional band to watch as they emerge as Prince Edwards Islands greatest Celtic fusion exports in years to come. This event aims to satisfy both culinary and literary delights!

Presenter Bios:
Fawn Parker is a Giller-nominated author of five books including What We Both Know (M&S) and the forthcoming poetry collection Soft Inheritance and auto-memoir Hi it’s me (M&S). Fawn is a PhD student in creative writing at the University of New Brunswick.
Nicholas Herring is a carpenter and writer whose work has appeared in The Puritan and The Fiddlehead. He graduated from St. Jerome’s University with an honours degree in English Literature and attended the University of Toronto where he completed an MA in Creative Writing. His debut novel Some Hellish was the 2022 Winner of the Atwood Gibson Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize. Herring lives in Murray Harbour, PEI.
Inn Echo weave hundreds of years of traditional tunes with contemporary originals and arrangements that both soar and make you catch your breath simultaneously. With technical precision, their mastery of instruments is the talk in the national and international folk music scene. From Music PEI awards to tours of Austria and Ireland, Inn Echo is bar none the traditional band to watch as they emerge as Prince Edwards Islands greatest Celtic fusion exports in years to come.
