Adam McNamara is a journalist in Nova Scotia. He is recipient of the 2017 Allard Tobin Travel Award from St. FX University. McNamara travelled to Europe before attending journalism school at the University of King's College, researching the origins of different societies and power structures having an impact on early Canada's history. He is currently working on a book about the beginnings of Freemasonry in Cape Breton. As Freemason, McNamara has the title of Very Worshipful Master. He a Past Master of Solomon Lodge #46 in Nova Scotia and Past District Grand Chaplin for Cape Breton North-South. He is also a 32° Scottish Rite Mason and a Royal Arch Mason.
