Nancy Rose is a retired school counsellor who is often called "the squirrel lady." Nancy's love of photography, nature, and crafting merged in 2010 when she started making squirrel-sized props, and enticing the red squirrels in her backyard to search for nuts in her handmade dioramas, capturing the inquisitive creatures in some human-like poses with her camera. Her photos went viral, which led to four bestselling books in The Secret Life of Squirrels series, starring Mr. Peanuts, followed by two board books about Oakley the Squirrel, as well as calendars, puzzles, and quilt fabrics. This will be Nancy's third book starring Oakley (though she confesses sometimes it might be one of Oakley's friends standing in for him).
