Your go-to list of book events featuring Atlantic Canadian books and authors!
Cool off from August 15’s celebrations with an in-conversation followed by an evening of poetry readings! On August 16 at 4 p.m. at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre (2nd floor), join the Frye Festival, Acadie Rock, Goose Lane Editions, and Tidewater Books for an in-conversation with Dominique Bernier-Cormier, hosted by Sonya Malaborza. Vancouver-based, Québec-Acadian author and translator Dominique Bernier-Cormier will be discussing his newest poetry collection, published in March 2023 by icehouse poetry, an imprint of Goose Lane Editions. Entre Rive and Shore is a Franco-fusion mélange of reflections on Acadian history and identity, and meditations on the evolution of language and the rapper Young Thug. The result is protean, an exhilarating collection that reassesses what it means to live between two identities, two worlds, two languages.
Books will be available for purchase from Tidewater Books.
