Welcome to Our #ReadAtlantic #2SLGBTQIA+ Campaign
This spring on #ReadAtlantic #VOICES, we’re celebrating and amplifying the work of 2SLGBTQIA+ authors from or published in Atlantic Canada.
Join host Tanya Davis, interdisciplinary artist and author of How to be Alone, for in-depth interviews with Francesca Ekwuyasi, Ali Blythe, Natalie Meisner, Anne Bishop, and Tanya Davis herself.
“I’m trying to connect ultimately, and I think through connection our ideas and our fights for social justice can have an impact,” Davis says. “Queer writers are sometimes writing about queer issues and sometimes not, they’re just queer people who are writing. And I like to have those discussions too.”
We hope you join us on our Facebook page every Wednesday at noon, April 6-May 4, to hear these unique and fascinating authors’ personal stories. Learn about the life experiences that shaped their work. Benefit from their homegrown expertise and insights. Watch this space for staff picks from the collection.
And please do visit and peruse the whole wonderful collection of 83 books at https://atlanticbooks.ca/collections/voices/2slgbtqia-voices.
