The Sound of Fire
Renée Belliveau
Nimbus Publishing
The Sound of Fire is based on a devastating real-life event that Belliveau takes into her careful, artful hands as both writer and archivist. She has a personal relationship to the story, having studied in English at Mount Allison University as an undergraduate student.
This novel is a perfect confluence of Belliveau’s well-honed writing talent, her love for the written word and the inspiration she finds in uncovering records from the past. This is her second published work (the first was a memoir of her father called Les étoiles à l’aube), and if we are lucky there will be more to come!
