Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on the past and think about those who donned a uniform for our country. This year, we’re asking you to share your remembrance with us. Simply visit our Facebook page and tell us who or what you’ll be thinking about on November 11. On November 13 at noon we’ll randomly select one commenter to receive a package of book focusing on the First and Second World Wars.
Included are:
- MacLean by Allan Donaldson (Nimbus Publishing)
- Canada’s Bastions of Empire: Halifax, Victoria and the Royal Navy 1749-1918 by Bryan Elson (Formac Publishing Ltd.)
- Remembrance by Alistair MacLeod (McClelland & Stewart)
- Courage at Sea: Newfoundland Sailors and the Great War by Robert C. Parsons (Flanker Press)
- Going Over: A Nova Scotian Soldier in World War 1 by David Mossman (Pottersfield Press)
- Noble Illusions: Young Canada Goes to War by Stephan Dale (Fernwood Publishing)
