Hailing from Smooth Rock Falls, in Northern Ontario, Michel Ouellette is a dramaturgy frontrunner in french speaking Ontario. A prolific writer, he is the author of some forty works, a few novels, poetry collections and children's tales. He received the Governor General's Award for <i>French Town</i> and the Trillium Award for <i>Le testament du couturier</i>. <i>The Return of Captain Baboune</i> is his fourth children's novel.
