Larry Mathews is professor emeritus of Memorial University, where he taught in the English department from 1984 until his retirement in 2015. He is the author of The Sandblasting Hall of Fame and The Artificial Newfoundlander. He lives in St. John’s with his wife, the writer Claire Wilkshire. They have two children.
