Douglas Arthur Brown is the author of seven books. He received an Established Artist Recognition Award from the Province of Nova Scotia; his novel Quintet won the Thomas Head Raddall Atlantic Fiction Prize, and he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his contribution to Canadian Culture.
