Christine Sismondo is a Toronto writer, historian, and the author of <i>America Walks into a Bar</i> and <i>Mondo Cocktail: A Shaken and Stirred History</i>. She's a National Magazine Award winner, a columnist for the <i>Toronto Star</i> and <i>Quench</i>, as well as a regular contributor to the <i>Globe and Mail</i> and <i>Maclean's</i>. Most recently, Sismondo wrote a six-part podcast series on Prohibition for Wondery's <i>American History Tellers</i>.
