Beryl Young is the author of seven books for children. She writes novels, biographies and picture books, including the best-selling biography, <i>Charlie: a Home Child's Life in Canada</i>. Among many award nominations her books have won the Silver Moonbeam Award, the Chocolate Lily Award for the best B.C. book, and the Reader's Choice Award at the Rainforest of Reading. Beryl travels across the country talking to students and lives in Vancouver, B.C.
