Video interviews with prominent African-Canadian authors

From mid-September until the end of October 2020, Atlantic Books Today was proud to work with the Delmore “Buddy” Daye Learning Institute to co-host and present interviews with five prominent African-Canadian authors including George Elliott Clarke, Mayann Francis, Gloria Ann Wesley, Andre Fenton and Lindsay Ruck. Each  was interviewed by DBLI CEO Sylvia Parris-Drummond, who was also featured in an interview with editor Chris Benjamin. She spoke of the importance of Afrocentric learning, which includes sharing Black voices and stories. Below is a trailer for the series, a memorial video for the late Charles Saunders (who was a wonderful writer of African-Nova Scotian nonfiction as well as a towering figure in Sword & Sorcery fiction), and each of the five interviews.
