\n<\/a>, this new book contains both drawings and paintings by Jackie. <em>Resilience<\/em> honours the Indigenous Peoples who were colonized by and endured the violence of Canada\u2019s child stealing systems \u2014 residential schools, the Sixties Scoop and child \u201cwelfare.\u201d Some Indigenous people survived those systems; tragically, some did not. Jackie and her art pay tribute to and celebrate the resilience of Indigenous Peoples as they rebuild their communities and lives.
