“Ozzy the Incredible Wonder Cat” , author reading with Dawn Peters (drop-in)

All welcome to drop by and join us as local author, Dawn Peters, shares with us her recently published children’s picture book, “Ozzy the Incredible Wonder Cat”. Dawn will have copies of her book available for purchase (and signing), and a portion of each book sold ($5.00) will be donated to the SPCA. About the book: “Ozzy the Incredible Wonder Cat” , is the true local story of hope, love and belonging, is coming to your library. He was found abandoned as a kitten on a trunk highway in Nova Scotia on a hot July day, while his future mother was driving to work. Find out how he came to live in the lap of luxury in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. He loves children and enjoys teasing his friend Bella, telling her that “cat’s rule and dog’s drool”. He shares a cat tower, containing three apartments, with his fellow feline brother Bennett. His superpower is hypnotizing people into giving him what he wants. No one truly knows his ‘backstory’, but it is a miracle that he survived. He is so excited to share his story with you, (although not in real life), as he does not travel well.

About the author: Dawn Marie Peters MSW, RSW is a social worker and animal lover who wanted to share this incredible story of Ozzy, who survived all odds. She wanted something good to come from his rough start to life. She has committed to giving a portion of book sales to the SPCA, to help unwanted animals get what they need, when they need it. She is a clinical therapist who works with youth and dreams for everyone to have the opportunity to have a happy ending.
